Wow..time has slipped away and I have not been keeping this blog up to date. I'll have to do a better job of that. My running is going fairly well. About 2 weeks ago I added a 4th day of running to the week and have been keeping the majority of my runs at an easy paced effort with my average heart rate below 165. Well this evening I decided to leave the Garmin at home and have some fun. I ran my normal 3 mile route, but threw fartleks in from time to time to keep it interesting. I must have picked the pace up during the fartleks since I finished the run in about 25 minutes. It wasn't hot out, but the humidity didn't agree too much with me. I'm really hoping for good weather during the half marathon in 3 weeks. It is going to be quite hilly so I figure I'll stick with the 2:10:00 pace group as long as I can, and if I feel good I'll pick the pace up at mile 10.
I've been thinking, how does one know that they're addicted to running. It's simple, when you have a class reunion coming up and the first thing you do is check to see if there are any races in a nearby town during that weekend :) You guessed it, I'm addicted to running!
So glad you decided to do another entry! Sounds like a fun 3-miler! I definitely agree that you know you're addicted to running if you have a trip coming up and you see if there are races nearby :)
